Life ooooo life

Do you sometimes think your life is a complete failure?
I mean not finishing education and not taking opportunities that many never had. Plus treating people badly, taking the piss with peoples generosity and in general being a
.
I do feel bad for the things I have done in the past and don't expect any sympathy from anyone.
I don't see any point in dwelling on the past and feeling sorry for myself and now i just concentrate on doing the right thing and getting my arse into gear.
I think it will go one of two ways, drunk lonely old man with not a pot to piss in or a decent successful member of society.
Have any of you thought its now or never? Before i know it I could be the sad lonely old man.
maybe a spot of therapy/kick boxing might help get rid of my demons.

Yes I get like that from time to time.
Doctors say I suffer from depression, so did the shrink, the CPN and the rest of the mental health crew.
I feel much better now I don't take the pills the doctors told me I needed, and started skiing, working hard. Enjoying time with friends.
When I feel down I have certain things to trigger happy thoughts, well bit more than that.

Anyhoo, any pics of her? Pm me!

Many years ago I spent 4 years working commission only selling ad space. No sales - No income it was that simple. I once had a 5 week stint with no results.
To be honest, I felt absolutley crap on that 5th Friday. I could not even get a draw against future sales and I had NO cash to spend or borrow for the weekend.
I went home in dispair feeling that I was absolutely worthless, a failure.
I got home and
searched through every pocket and cranny hoping to find some cash to buy some food to tide me over the weekend. I found a £20 note in one of my pockets.
It was the best find ever!
I had a long hard think and talk with myself and decided enough was enough.
I gave myself a right royal blasting for feeling so sorry for myself and for producing such a bad result. Yes, I stood infront of a mirror and shouted at Jambon.
I decided to stick at it. I wrote some simple short term goals down, reread some of my self improvemnt books
and decided that the only way I could get results was to re-establish a sense of belief in myself.
I took a good long long at what I was doing and how i was doing it. I decided that I HAD to succeed. I confided in one of my colleagues and he was happy to act as a mentor. So many of my other work colleagues who were having great results kept telling me that I was capable of much more. I did not really believe them. I had to get to that low to realise that I could not get any lower.
Lets say it's akin to catharsis that's alluded to in literature over and over agin. I think you need a point in your life where you get a grip and focus.
I required discipline and determination. You don't have to set out to be a multi-millionaire. But you can set yourself realistic achievable goals bit by bit, striving for self improvement. Some say aim for the heavens and settle for the sky.
The long and the short of that weekend was that I never suffered a 'blank' week after that. I set a personal goal of selling every week, no matter what. Some subsequent weeks included 12 hour days,
but I achieved my goals. Within 3 years I bought my first Porsche.

No. I could not afford Uni education (well, my parents couldn't afford for me to go) so I went out to work, then I worked my a** off, did quite ok, then went to Uni when I could afford to do so.I mean not finishing education and not taking opportunities that many never had. .I don't treat people badly (well, I don't think so anyways). I also don't take the p**s, because I try to act with people the same way I would want them to act with me. Those who take the p**s too often I no longer associate with, I can do without those sorts of people, I find them a drain on my energy.
So, my advise, this is a New Year feel sorry for yourself thing crossed with a mid-life crisis, get a grip, decide how you can improve your lot, and make things up to those who you have wronged. Karma and all that (not quite so far as My Name is Earl but you get the picture).

Me and a mate are starting our own business, so I'm very busy at the moment. the nightmares have stopped for now and I don't wake up at 3am screaming any more

Setting daily or even weekly goals is a good idea, I've hopefully got some part time work lined up to get some cash in the bank before the business goes live.
christ its easier to talk to strangers on the internet than my own mother!
I don't know what I'm moaning about really but I need to do something to get rid of my demons.
