So I hear the country is in arctic conditions and there is chaos on the roads and trains. So where is it? and more to the point will it still be there at the weekend so I can come visit it? I live in North Wales and very close to major motorways so can get up North if thats where its hiding. Northin in Wales 3.5 Degrees C at the moment almost tropical.

Nothing to report in Sheffield, Barnsley or Wakefield or any of the roads in between. Is it really that bad the other side of the woodhead pass then??

It was -7 this morning up on the hill where I live and (I reckon) it was about -12 last night when I was walking the dogs. Plenty of snow here on the Staffordshire hills. Might even get the wok out and go for a hurtle this evening!

It really gets on my teeits when the media (normally the daily mail) cry "arctic conditions!". Have any of these s actually been to the arctic? I don't fking think so.

When we see week-long blizzards and -50C temps then I will accept their arctic claims. Until then they can shove their sensationalist headlines up their whingeing arses. s.

ARCTIC MY ARSE. IT'S BIT CHILLY, THAT'S ALL YOU USELSSS bdS.

Sorry, rant over.

None in Wakefield or Leeds. Not much ice either, it's just a bit cold.

We had snow in and around Northampton on Monday and there's still a lot of it left around.

Snowed in town a bit yesterday afternoon, but as usual, nothing settled and it didn't last long thanks to the sea breezes and whatnot.

Have had snow on the ground and car for days now. Found a deserted local car park this morning covered with snow and ice...

I drove straight home officer... hehe
