U2 Spiderman the musical

Its going to end up like Mary Poppins / Cats with a spider costume and music from fish horse webber.

Now they are doing this. Which makes me hate them more. Are they trying to do something like the brilliant Monkey that Damon Albarn /Jamie Hewlett achieved?

Listening to Capital this morning Jodie Kidd was discussing Bono's weirdness and described him 'blessing' her head and he drew a signed picture for Johnny Vaughan of his cowboy hat. Which made me hate him yet more still.

Urgh. Make them stop.

Yes. I inserted an old link instead of the recent one that I had just read. It looks like it should be opening this year.

I hate that pair of affected tts more than ever. And more than Jim Carrey.

They should leave Spiderman alone and do a musical on something more appropriately assinine. Like the Tellytubbies or something.

The thought of him 'blessing' people by touching their heads instead of shaking hands really enrages me. Grrrr.

They wrote some excellent songs about 20 years ago, but haven't heard anything much from them since. Having said that, writing for musicals is not particulary demanding, most songs from musicals couldn't exist outside their original purpose.
