Serial Hobby Addict?

Anyone else just go through a phase of a particular hobby then quickly get completely bored with it, my wife is at her wits end with me now....
Seems each one gets more expensive as well, for instance my interesting and expensive foray into RC helicopters, followed by Marine Fish Tank and then high end mountain bikes.
Now I am sitting here thinking whats next (I dont have any ideas that cost little)....just been through the "detailing phase" and decided its not worth the effort.
Is there help out there???
I just don't seem that interested in anything either...it cant just be me?
What makes it worse is when I spot something it cant just be the basic one, I quickly get into but if I only spend this much more it will be faster/bigger/wobblier/shinier etc.

I've gone through this phase before - I finally identified the "need to do stuff" was a symptom of being unhappy elsewhere in life - as in at work. once I'd sorted the career out, the constant need for new gizmos / pinball machines etc kind of went away =)
Failing that, Karting is a great hobby that will bankrupt you, but out a MASSIVE grin on your face...

it's an evil vicious circle for me of Porsche's, Marine fish tanks, 1/8 Nitro Buggies and R/C Helicopters. I get a bit boerd of one and the move onto the other normaly by throwing lots more money at it and improving it every way I can. Needless to say I am always in trouble with the wife, but keeps me ammused!

Mine wont be persuaded that the stair space is perfect for my dream 5 foot system - I dabbled in Nano tanks before but want to go big 
Currently thinking back on nitro cars or maybe a small electric heli since they have moved on a bit recently!

Nope. My problem's with adventure sports. I used to climb quite a lot but since letting that slide I've tried (in no particular order) wind surfing, kayaking, surfing, skydiving, power kiting/kite buggying/kite surfing. And I mountain bike intermittently. Thankfully it's mostly been using rental kit...
A couple of years ago I started racing but I've recently reignited the kitesurfing bug and a couple of friends are badgering me to go climbing again

A hobby is something you do because it interests you. Bonsai is a good one, you don't have to do much if you don't want and can just potter around. Getting proper stock to bonsai is difficult though, garden centres only really stock fast grown leggy stuff that doesn't respond too well. I used to get mine from Greenwood in Nottingham. The thing about bonsai is that it is totally and utterly different to computers and technology, very relaxing.

It is something I wanted to do when I was a student, but it is only recently that compressors and airbrush prices have really come down (thanks to the Chinese copies). So far, I have found that I am absolutely rubbish at it. Yet there is something curiously addictive about the learning curve.

RC Cars are my downfall, from battery to 1/8 Nitro.

The G/f bought me a baby indoor helicopter for Christmas and within 2 days i had bought another :chough: more expensive one with a few spares.
I was a worried man that I might move to nitro 'copters but your picture has helped with that, although 1/4 petrol cars look amusing.
