I'm going bowling with the lads tomorrow and drew set of skittles and bowls on the family whiteboard. It helps our oldest understand what's going on in his world as he is otherwise a tad over-active. Of course I realised after I had delivered my masterpiece, that I used a CD marker pen. weeping

The board cost more than 100 notes 3 months ago and Mrs. Rusk is probably going to freak tomorrow morning that I've ruined it already. argue
This one: http://www.bizzyboard.com/en/home/

I've made this mistake at work before and simply used a whiteboard marker pen to draw over the letters and just wiped it off.
o Tried that - all it did was smudge the original pen ink to a larger area.
o WD40 didn't work at all
o White spirit didn't improve the problem
o Washing-up liquid made no difference

If this was PF thread I'd be on the phone to the Wolf to help me out here. Unfortunately this isn't and even Google wasn't my friend today - can PH do any better? Tomorrow I shall borrow some whiteboard cleaner from the office if everything else fails, but then the Mrs will be in the know and my post-bowling session drunken behaviour will be even more unacceptable!

Thanks in advance guys!

I'm on it. Maybe if everything fails I'll set the thing alight and claim spontaneous combustion redface

Try:

Meths
Petrol
Nail varnish remover (best bet)
Parafin
Vodka
Paint thinners

check a small bit first in case it damages the board
Other than that you can get board cleaner from a stationers.....

But this IS Pistonheads......

WD40 gets it off. Spray it, soak a second, rub with rag.

What make is the CD marker, the manufacturer may have a suitable solvent.

Whatever you do don't try anything abrasive as this will kill the surface dead. (as a colleague of mine found out just the other day)
