Would I need a contractor's registration number, or is there a way to check if an individual (or his trading as) is registered / approved / accredited?

For both CORGI and NICEIC...

Not done it myself, but i reckon a call to each relevant body should be able to confirm whether a person/company is affiliated without their registration number.

Doesn't mean a lot NICEIC aren't exactly too efficient. Mine has the phone number from over a year ago. Despite repeated requests to change

Well, I think this particular fella is a blagger. I don't think he's reg'd at all.

I've just blown his cover on a couple of things and I suspect that he's used subbies who may be reg'd.

Can he display the logo(s) iif he isn't reg'd?

Pretty sure trading standards wouldn't be too happy.

I don't think he'll show me his card / registration number - is there a way to find out the truth just by his name or 'trading as' / company name?

Corgi need a card number.

NICEIC have a fairly open search by postcode, name, company etc... and this herbert is not showing up on there either.

?

No. He has his own policy about no livery on his van. But his polo shirt has CORGI and NICEIC standing out like a pair of balls on a snake.
