What newspaper do PH folks read and why? I don't read any regularly, but read the local ones more than national ones. I sometimes read a national one if whatever on the front cover interests me, but usually try and avoid the papers like the Sun.

Yorkshire Post. It doesn't just have local stories (although it is excellent for that) but the usual national and international too. What it doesn't have, however, is an obsession with Whitehall and government that the national papers and electronic media do.

The Times - much easier to read since they've had the tabloid version. Good sport bit too.
Used to read the Sun, but housemate was a Liverpool fan and wouldn't allow it!

I think that you will find most PH members read the Daily Mail.

Ready to get flamed, the Grauniad all the way for me. I like the way it takes an hour to read, whereas some arse paper like the Daily Express (in laws love it) can be digested in a minute.

if on the train, then the mail and metro, bigger papers tend to be a pain on the tube in any case

if online then read a range of them from different countries

Telegraph for me too, mainly for the often infuriating pattern of black and white squares on the back page (although I have been known to occasionally actually read the rest of it).
