Job not a problem.
TVR importing may be but they do drive on the correct side of the road at least.
Might be the endless sun in every shot in the programme or the 750ml of Hoegaarden but I feel like getting in the car and driving to the airport right now.
I'll sort out shipping Tammy later.

my girlfriend is in australia at the moment and is thoroughly enjoying it and wants to move out there.
my mate lives in new zealand and i don't think he will ever come back to the UK
infact, anyone that i have ever known that has gone to australia travelling has always gone back there to live.
I can vouch for Australia and, I'm a Kiwi! my mate lives in new zealand and i don't think he will ever come back to the UK

Australia is my second home.
BUT!....Why don't you guys consider Spain? Lots of sun, beaches... If I was in Europe, I'd be heading there. Maybe being part Spanish has something to do with that..

I lived and worked in Australia for just over three years but came back to the U.K. to live, I much prefer living in the U.K. I suppose it depends on your job and the lifestyle that it gives you in the U.K. etc.My friends who emigrated to Australia or NZ are having children now and having real trouble with the elderly grandparents being in the U.K. and only seeing them twice a year.

I always thought I'd go to the US to live, have family there too, but my Parents and siblings are down here, so I'm staying put. Not to mention after spending time in the US, I changed my mind about wanting to live there. Good place to holiday though.

I have been thinking seriously about moving abroad for several years. I have always really planned on Canada (Vancouver). My only real issue with Vancouver is the rain though, as it's worse than here! Location wise it's amazing though
Recently i have been looking into Melbourne, and from what i can see it looks perfect.
My biggest problem with moving far away is family. Saying that though, my parents have no problems with me moving at all, as long as i go somewhere they want to visit(!).

Same here but for less than a year. It's a nice place, but once you stop holidaying and start working, the shine disappears. However, it would probably be high on my list if I had to leave England.rfisher said:

I'm really struggling to find a single reason not to go to Oz.
Help me.
Not to go? Sorry, can't help with that one.I'm really struggling to find a single reason not to go to Oz.
Help me.
I watch it now and again and think, if only it wasn't so expensive to get my dogs and cats out there....But the day they are looking for people with my qualifications.........
My daughter was living there a few years ago ( Pert and Bisbane) and back back to blighty because although you can live cheaply, the wages were also cheaply and the career opportunitioes were fairly limited. She couldn't save for a house, or save at all.
Great if you have 'made it' I am sure but unless you are in love with the lifestyle itself ( which we all should be I guess) and accept mediocrity (gets coat) the grass may not be greener.

The grass isn't greener...IM&Mrs'66HI, had three weeks there toward the end of last year, catching up with mates who've emigrated, and you are right, if you 'make it' fine. But, like every where on the planet, if you don't it makes no odds. In fact I think it's probably easier here to make a good living(well it was until recently).Great if you have 'made it' I am sure but unless you are in love with the lifestyle itself ( which we all should be I guess) and accept mediocrity (gets coat) the grass may not be greener.
The problem for us was Oz seemed to have no idea what it was, and people go there as if it is the holy grail, and sometimes discover it's not quite what they had dreamed of.

I feel a need to put a different perspective. We have friends that went to Bris about 7 years ago. They are normal, hard working people. They seem to be doing really well, and live a life style that I would like to match. They went with very little money, but a 'can do' attitude. Not only is the lifestyle good, but the weather blows your socks off. Yes, they work hard, and yes wages are lower than the UK. However, not only can you buy more for your money, but the attutudes seem right. You work hard, to play hard out there. Not like here, with that t*sser GB running the country, and wasting not only my money, but my kids money, and my grandkids money.
Sorry about the rant.........

If youre going to go, dont be like every Place in the Sun baffoon, living in a 2-up, 2 down in Cardiff and expect your £120k to get you a mansion overlooking Bondi, then give the presenter-bird a funny look and flounce out when she shows you a place thats "only" got 4 bedrooms, 1/3 of acre and a swimming pool.
s
ts me to tears.Look before you leap, thats all Ill say.
There are NO (meaning none, nada, nix) problems over here, that dont occur there also in some way.
Its the same animal, with a different leg-action, as my old man would say.
