It's a beautifully written spoof - the only bit which really separates it from some fantasists dream is the phrase 'coveted Mortal Combat machine'.

Until that point I was pretty certain he was just a very disturbed individual.

It's all very well timed in that it begins as a subtle spoof of the type of person I imagine, rightly or wrongly, exists and then gradually ramps up and up in it's unbelieveability factor but not until the last few messages are they really taking the piss.

The 2nd guy. Specops is certainly a well done spoof but I find it hard to believe the original Gecko is serious. If he's genuine then this is surely one of the greatest triumphs of forum windups

Hopefully someone will be along shortly with a link to 'Spot the Benny' from Tiswas. Benny from Crossroads does Shakespeare (if memory serves correctly, which it might not).
