The BBC have no scruples in defrauding paying competition entrants. Why should they think twice about defrauding the voting public?

It's not as if their business editor is the son of a prominent Labour peer, or anything.

I thought the same - they seem to have no problem with live feeds from Gaza, but can't seem to get a feed set up properly when only a few miles are involved!
I must stop watching this - it's not that far removed from the Nazi propaganda regime in the 30's...

I watched Marr interviewing Brown and was wondering where the difficult questions were. He went for Cameron's Jugular. I've just sent Marr an email to complain. Hopefully [e-mail] works.

This is how it works:

The biggest news story of the moment is the economic situation. Robert Peston, being the son of a Labour peer, BBC Business Editor and well in with the powers that be, is given the first nod at any breaking news coming out of Whitehall about the economic situation.

Labour make it very clear that this situation can change very quickly if the BBC gives them a hard time on the economic front.

BBC treat Brown, Mandleson and Darling like Gods, rather than incompetant fools.

The current hot topic in the news is the Business Editor's area.

Due to his past, the Political Editor is not going to have special access to Government in the same way as Robert Peston. Therefore it is Robert Peston and his connections which is allowing the BBC to be blackmailed by Government.

Its happened before though. Seems Cameron was grilled to within an inch of his life and previous Labour MPs are cosseted.

I am open minded but this is obvious to me and getting my wee wee a bit on the hot side...

Sorry but the accusation that someone would cut such a person off, mid-transmission, on purpose - is just plain silly IMO. I've never heard anything quite as daft. It isn't as if the head of the programme has a red button in his office, he/she would have to ask someone (an engineer) to do it, and that engineer would tell them to FO as they're nearly all prideful people.

I've worked on broadcasts where the transmission has been lost, and the overriding principle emotion is one of 'WHAT THE fk' quickly followed by 'what happened exactly?', with phones ringing aplenty.
