Got a spare 3k and stuck for something to do.

I'll be moving overseas soon to take a new job offer. No debts, no mortgage but got a spare 3k and loads of free time at the moment so want something to keep me occupied during the day and keep a nice amount coming through (1k a month would be nice)
The scenarios I've looked at are as follow:
1) Matched betting. I've never done any online gambline this before but looks this looks interesting http://tinyurl.com/838lo8. One guy makes £45k over 3 years working 1-2 hours per day and little downside risk to his capital. Anyone got any experience of this?
2) Buy and sell cars. I've got absolutely sod all experience in this area but I knew a guy at work who claimed he was making 15k a year from buying and selling sub-1k cars. Apparently his trick was to pay for less than market value by paying cash and then getting the cars valeted and putting better photos onto Autotrader! Can this be done successfully (especially in today's market)
3) Spread betting. Got absolutely no clue on where to start with this one. Have heard it can be very lucrative but that you can lose the shirt off your back very quickly. Anyone give me any further pointer
4) Forex Trading - As above, risk management seems to be absolutely crucial in this game and 3k makes me massively under-capitalised so don't think I'll be trying this
5) Prop Trading - I've been having a look at a few Prop firms in the US and looks interesting. They want $2000 for a 2-4 week training course in Las Vegas and then a $25k stake will get you access to the firm's capital. Anyone ever done this and can recommend prop trading?
Would appreciate any feedback and any additional ideas (except drug dealing), thanks all

kers. Playing with peoples' dreams.Matched betting does work, although you don't really need any large amount of capital to start with (unless you want to have loads of offers running at once). The money is good initially but you'll then have to start hunting a bit more carefully for offers.
I can believe you could make a profit selling cars that way, after buying one recently most of the adverts on autotrader/ebay (and a reasonable number on here!) look like they're written by a 5 year old with photos taken on a camera phone at night.

I'd get a trading account and just spend the days jumping in and out of bluechips. The market is still all over the place and big companies with no short or long term issues are boucing around +/-6% a day. Pick a few, watch them and just go in and out using the cheapest trade provider you can find.The scenarios I've looked at are as follow:

Let me get this straight. You have 3k, you want to make 1k a month with it. A 33% return on your money in 4 weeks?Good luck.
