Anyone here work in a paintshop?
Discussion
I'm looking to have a light fitting sprayed in RAL9010 to see what it will look like compared to our current product. However, this works out a tad expensive to have just one done as you have to pay for a full load of paint and cleaning the gear afterwards etc.
What I'm looking for is somewhere that regularly uses RAL9010 and would be able to paint one product for us.
Any ideas?

What's the material your looking at coating?
We are applying alkyds/epoxy polyurethanes in 9010, day in day out.
Failing that where abouts in the Midlands are you based, as I could tell you a list of places where you can get an aerosol made up.

The product is already painted in another shade of white but it is a non-descript shade that varies from batch-to-batch. We're trying to tie down the spec of the product as much as possible and part of that includes a RAL reference for the colour. We are applying alkyds/epoxy polyurethanes in 9010, day in day out.

The base material is a zinc casting but it is, as I say, already primed and painted.
We're in Tamworth and a list of places I can get an aerosol would be most useful!
You will probably be able to over coat with just a solvent based alkyd paint, but you might want to find out what type of paint (are you sure it's not powder?) is already on there to be sure of compatibility.
The closest I can think of in your area are:-
Thomas Howse Paints and Powders ltd 0121 559 1451 in Rowley Regis,
Turners trade Paints 01543 57168 in Cannock,
Breakwells Paints 01922 400444 in Walsall.
They will all mix up an aerosol in various paints to any RAL or BS4800 for you.
