Ebay Listing Cancelled

I've had my Ebay listing cancelled as it 'breaches keyword spamming rules'.
This is because I have put "As new" in the title, which is correct - the item is as new.
It would seem they haven't given me a credit for the insertion fee (£13.49) and to relist it I have to pay a further £13.49.
They also helpfully give no telephone number or email address to contact them.
Any advice?

You are on a loser. They are really hot on people using 'As New' - I tried it recently with a lens which had been used twice, still had all original packaging etc. It is still 'used' unfortunately.This is because I have put "As new" in the title, which is correct - the item is as new.

They let me re-list though without paying again.

I realise that to an end-user buying something, "as new" is as good as "new" (assuming the seller isn't lying) but if you were looking for something "new" to give as a gift, "as new" wouldn't cut it.
Nowt to stop you describing it as "in as-new condition" in the body of the ad though.
Anyway, hardly bother with EBay any more; it just seems like far too much hassle these days, both buying and selling.

An extra days exposure is fine in my book.
If you had placed your advert in 'USED' with the tagline 'as New' then eBay are

If however, you placed your advert in 'NEW' with the tagline 'as New' then you are misleading the Search Listing which is incredibly annoying to find someones opinion of 'Used Once' 'as New' when you are searching for something still in the cellophane by searching 'NEW'

They're just trying to make search results more accurate, I can't really blame them for that as that's the basis of using the site - being able to find stuff. It's called keyword spamming, very annoying searching for a particular brand and getting pages of crap that has the brand name tagged, purely to spam searches.

Agreed in some senses - such as searching for a specific car part for and having all sorts of models listed. Ie. VOLVO MAF SENSOR S70 850 S60 V70 XC70 960 940 - where the part doesn't fit half the cars listed!

I have no sympathy. It may be 'as new' but that is in point of fact 'used', and hence should be listed as such.
Its almost as annoying as searching for say, a Linn Troika, and finding results for auctions entitled "Naim Preamp, Linn Mission Musical Fidelity".
As for the credit, you shouldn't have paid that yet. I never get charged immediately upon auction listing, it takes a few weeks for the invoice to arrive.
