Dog Poo

I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to stop a dog using my front lawn as it's daily sh**ing location.
In the last week or so I have left for work only to be greeted by a large turd on four occasions. I can't really be arsed getting up at five in the morning to wait for the culprit so wondered if anyone could think of something to put down to put the dog off.

If it's dogs then a liberal sprinking of pepper from the garden centre should help.

sprinkle curry/chilli powder around the area. dog goes sniffing, gets a nose full of hot n spicy, and turns on its owner, mauling it to death on your lawn.

At least the blood will wash away with the rain, and dog won't crap there anymore.

Seriously though mate, there's not really anything you can do to put them off as far as I know. Your best bet is just to report it and hope someone can be arsed to do something about it.

We have had the same problem over the last couple of years with the neigbour's mutts that do this.

Most successful remedy, and most cost effective, was to buy some plastic slug traps off Ebay, that sink into the ground. Place these around the lawn where they st, and fill them up with Jeyes Fluid. The fluid stinks, so it must be really potent to dogs, and generally keeps them away.

We also have one of those "Big Cheese" ultrasonic dog repellers, but unfortunately the batteries don't last very long because it is motion activated, and even the hedge in a mile breeze seems to trip it.

Thanks for the replies, I think I might try a Jeyes fluid/curry powder combo and see how we get on. Definitely not a fox though it's more human sized. Don't think it's the neighbour but you never know!

As the owner of both cat and dog, i cringe at the thought of my cat pooing in peoples gardens, although i realise i cant control where he does it. The dog however is another story. There's no way i would allow her to do it on anyone's land and i always clean up after her.
I have to say that i would wait and watch to see the owner and then (pardon the pun) the st would hit the fan. Dirty bds
