Running a foreign registered car in the UK
Discussion
You'd need to get some insurance, and UK brokers won't touch it, so you'd need something from the home country, and that'd need it's usual tax and MOT equivalents.
Think of it as if you went abroad and brought your UK car, it'd need Valid insurance, and roadworthyness tests.
Tax you could probably avoid though.

although I'd be surprised if you ever get caught for that. A german friend of mine used her german-reg car for years with no bother.
