Please suggest Hot Rod films
Discussion
No not pron. I like hot rods and would like to know if there are any more films with hot rods in that I am not aware of.
I have:
The California Kid
American Graffiti
Heart Like A Wheel
Gumball Rally (small sequence with a Ford bucket T)
Think there are a couple in Two Lane Blacktop as well
When I say hot rods I mean pre 47 fenders and running boards like this

Links to where I could buy said films also appreciated

Grease?
Which car were you thinking of ? DrTre said:
I actually think I'm getting confused with another film where they raced for "pinks" along one of those stormwater river culvert things...? I'm trying to remember what it was....what is it? you probably know!
In Grease they did race through a stormwater river culvert thing but not in what I would consider a hot rod. They also raced in stormwater things in The Gumball Rally and the remade Gone In 60 Seconds but no hot rodsCotty said:

Mmkay, sorry.I've got my thinking cap on cos I've seen something not that long ago and it's not AG.
Bloody love these things when I see them on the road.
As a complete aside, I only found out the other day that there was a film called Cannonball about the Cannonball Run which was out before Cannonball Runs 1 & 2.
Starters here, maybe, dunno ... http://www.thevideobeat.com/hot-rod-movies.htm

Amazon for a start, for the hefty price of £2.87 plus postagehttp://www.amazon.co.uk/California-Kid-REGION-NTSC...
"Hot Rod" aka as Rebel of the Road is an awesome cult movie. The star of which is the primered hemi powered '41 Willys Coupe driven by lead character Brian Edison and the location for the racing scenes was Fremont dragstrip. I don't think its commercially avialable but there are some DVD's of it floating round it appears... although where mine has disappeared to I have no idea currently!
One of the three Willys used in the film is still raced in California by Steve Castelli as an A/Gasser, although its not looking much like it did in the film.
