Things to do in Blackpool of an evening

I am there for 3 nights this week at a conference with people who if not led about and dressed carefully by their nurses, bump into furniture and wear cardigans with leather arm patches.

I don't fancy the usual conference dinners where you eat chicken dinners with made up names to cover up the fact the catering is rubbish and where you want to stab yopurself with a fork because the 23rd wierd man from Basinstoke is telling what a successful year he has had. Then they go to bed at 10pm.

Any recommendations on ways to spend an evening in this Las Vegas of the North, and places to eat?

Its not the season yet so the Pleasure beach will be shut, but there are still the arcades for something to do when its wet.

Other than that, its just Pubs - i would go to Funny Girls, top night and you can eat in there.

Depends on if you want to go clubbing, pubbing or just wander round.

take a sightseeing tour around layton flats then maybe a feww pints in the dinmore then off up town to see if you can find any straight people

Head towards Lytham or Poulton(Rico's or China Red), some nice places to eat and drink in both towns.

Get really pissed then fall on glass, slicing your arm open? That's what I did the last time I was there.
Take a cardigan wearing gall on a romantic walk along the promenade? (I didn't do that)
Ride a donkey wearing a Kiss me Quick hat?
