Anyone watch half ton son.......................
Discussion
yeah I saw it all.
The lad had about 5 stone cut off his stomach (tummy tuck of big proportion)and stayed in hospital until he had lost enough weight for the doctors to perform a gastric band operation.
He then went on to lose around 20 stone I think it was whilst in hospital before being allowed to go home, where his mother then slipped back in to her old ways of nursing him, allowing him to stay in bed and not encouraging his exercising and feeding him large portions (which he eat despite the gastric band).
The doctors visited and told her that she was over feeding him and was rapidly undoing all their hard work. A big arguement ensued between the mother and son, resulting in him placing himself in the care of experts and away from his mother in order for him to continue to lose the weight. At that point he still weighed several hundred pounds.
It finished quite abruptly after that point, and they didn't say whether he achieved his goal weight of 14 stone.

Mother is definitely to blame. Some argue it's child abuse.
It is child abuseI only saw about 3 minutes of it, but the first thing I thought was, how hard can it be for him to lose some weight when he is stuck in bed, because he can't move, so only feed him salad........
My lord it was depressing, I think it showed how this boy became completly trapped, no expectations, no worthwhile life, just stuck in his (horrible) bedroom watching Television.
Of course his parents should have done something years before. The mother obviously needed counselling on a massive scale.
The lack of self control or self discipline was quite incredible.
