Lots of discussion about how bad it is. But not so much on what will end it.

I guess as it started in the USA (thanks guys!) it will probably end there too. So what will the end look like and what will trigger it?

Obama sworn in?

Obama resue package?

Car industry overhauled?

Or just investors switching from 'sell, sell, sell' mode to 'buy, buy, buy' mode when stocks hit a 'cannot go lower than this, this is silly' threshhold

Its an economic cycle. It will work through the system but you have to feel the pain first. Govt's could just as easily make it worse by interfering.

Worked last time. I say we hit Germany first this time, fed up with giving them a head start.

Well, I presume it is either going to be massive inflation to erode our huge debts, or Jimmy Saville.

We need an infrastructure overhaul, so fingers crossed we lose.

Yeah, they can have the muddy trenches and fight uphill. We'll take the high ground and buy some German cement to make our trenches more habitable.

Besides, with German industry slowing down I'm sure they're almost ready for another War. Just need to change to tools.

It is like a hangover. Time is the cure.

Ukraine winds Russia up by playing with the gas pipes.

Russia turns of gas.

Europeans get cold.

Obama decides to show how tough he is as the new Pres and orders Russia to turn the gas taps back on.

Russia says "Niet".

Ultimatums issued.

Two fingers from Russia

Nuclear exchange.

End of recession (and everything else, for that matter).

I thought the great EricMC would come up with something a bit more credible than that.

Hmmm I always swear by a sausage sandwich on cheap white bread with plenty of HP.
Oh, and about x4 Neurofen washed down with 2 litres of Evian.
