The Prisoner was a great series. Maybe in his will he'll have left an explanation as to what the final episode meant as I still don't get it.

... which was just as profoundly indecipherable as the actual episode itself.
Does noone remember Danger Man? John Drake played by PMG. Smart british secret agent with a deft killer punch who dressed in black. It was a fairly conventional James Bond lookalike TV series, though with McGoohan nothing was ever totally conventional. Somebody obviously thought, well, this can't go on forever, how do we follow it, and with huge wit and intelligence came up with the Prisoner, which was far from conventional, I am sure you would agree. However, if you didn't watch Danger Man you won't have picked up some of the nuances on the Prisoner.
And of course Ice Station Zebra. Not sure what happened to his career after that.
Superb actor though. Brought something quite different to his parts. Sad loss.
