This film has been advertised as the Feel Good Film of the Year.

Now the year is but 2 weeks old and although it was OK and great to see shots of Mumbai, one thing I can say is that it was far from Feel Good.

I think it's fairly feel good, without being blasé about poverty and conditions in India. I liked it. Like many films nowadays, it doesn't have quite as much inspiration as Boyle could have done. A difficult film to make by the sound of it. I would have liked to have seen more female characters - other than Latika we don't really see anyone else - no traditional "aunties" as are so common among Indian women.
