Cowboy hats

So, was in the pub last night with a mate, 2 reasonably attractive girls at the table across the bar. Maybe 6/10 kind of range, you get the idea. All of a sudden, one of them puts on a cowboy hat and (IMHO) leaps from a 6 to an 8.

Why is this? Is it just me or do other people find that women in cowboy hats are instantly more attractive?

I used to think so too but then on a 'fancy dress' night at uni' a mate brought along his hideous fat bh of a girlfreind dressed in cowboy gear...

Completely ruined it forever, makes me sick just thinking about it.
