Horror film recommendations
Discussion
On the look out for a really good horror film or two to get for the weekend.
I like really disturbing horror - the more real life it is the better.
I like the Scream films - but they are not IMHO true horror just good thrillers/with twists.
Saw 1 & 2 (not seen any others yet) - love them very amusing
Hostel - 1st 40mins I thought I had hired a blue movie and then the odd deprived action at the end it seemed like 2 different films enjoyed it but watch it once only.
Haloween 1. Classic love it - watched it when I was in Primary school.... sh&t me up properly & even today the B&W version on a dark windy night with all the lights off does the same.
Leatherface - enjoyed this film very much & the remake is pretty good too.
so any views?/recommendations - "there will be blood" lol
Heard some great reviews about Eden lake - a British take on the US Funny Games of 1997.

Eden Lake is good mate.
I saw The Orphanage recently which was awesome - very chilling.
Also, REC is also suppose to be very good - there was a recent thread about horrors if you search.
I saw Shrooms too recently which was okay - worth a watch - does everything pretty well but it's nothing new.
I'm going to see My Bloody Valentine 3D this weekend. That looks good fun!

The Descent as recommended to me
Brilliant film and although the plot and story is very basic (most horror films are) it works REALLY well and even offers the viewer an air of tension and nervousness about it while serving up some s
t ya pants moments
Couldn't recommend it enough
Don't judge me on this, but I enjoyed Silent Hill too...extremely f

Another vote here for The Descent. Very good.Has anyone seen that Banned Horror film - from the 1970/80's Caniball Hallaucast? Not seen it myself but seen a clip or two. Aparently the Italian Govt took the directors to court as they thought there really had been death/murder during the filming....
Need to watch this - the wife though will not allow it in the house... grr

Creep
The Fog (Original)
Wrong Turn
Hellraiser/Hellbound
Texas Chain Saw Masscre
Exorcist
Halloween (original)
Grudge
Candyman
Wrong turn had forgotten about that - very amusing.
I didnt like Blair Witch at all - load of tosh IMHO.
Cabin Fever was far better than I expected.

Has anyone seeon My Bloody Valentine 3D yet...?
Any good - worth it?
I saw it last night. Definitely worth a watch. Not scary, just gory/funny. The 3D stuff is weird, I found it hard to get used to with the focussing.Any good - worth it?
Film: 7/10
Experiance: 8/10
I'd perfer it in a more quieter cinema without screaming/talking teenagers and munching popcorn in my ear.
