Well I now know what im doing for the next 15 odd years. Im a father.

I became a father to my son who myself and my partner have named Elliot. He was born on 03 January 2009 at 19:34 and weighed 6lb 5.5oz.

Have been on paternity leave for the last week and a half and going back to work on Monday. I will miss him as all he does at the moment is eat, burp, hiccup, wee, poo and sleep.

A piccy of the happy family.

Well done. He will be great fun, will be your conspirator, will delight, excite, disappoint and upset you. He'll make you laugh your head off and he'll break your stuff.

Just because your kids leave the family home, doesn't mean you ever stop being a father.

Hey congrats mate,
According to a billboard I saw yesterday, little Elliot has already racked up £17,000 of debt, nice of the conservatives to really st on one of the most important times in your life. No worries though, just keep him away from credit cards, 3 weeks old or not, Barclays will still try to give him one.

Congrats.

Now for the sleep lottery. Will he go through the night after a few weeks? Or will he be nocturnal for a couple of years.

I'm just emerging from 11 months of broken sleep. Its purgatory.

But I wouldn't want to live in a world that didn't contain the little feckers.

Best wishes to you all.

The OH and I are a few weeks ahead of you, out gorgeous little bundle of joy Ellie was born 9 weeks ago and she already rules the roost. I'm loving it, makes me wonder why I waited until now to do it biggrin
