I have just returned back from visiting another office for a meeting, after the meeting I sat with my colleague for a coffee. When 2 'sturdy' females wonder in sit down and start comparing the 'nutritional values' on their low fat/calorie cereal bars! One from a supermarket value brand and the other a Special K bar. They then proceed to swap and let each other try a bar. I sat in utter humiliation/embarrassment as they discussed this.

What is it with woman? I was going to suggest - they go for a good jog/swim! But I dont think it would have went down well!

Got the same here - a few (larger" ladies that are continually on about "being on a diet", then proceed to stuff their faces all day long with biscuits and crisps but eat a "weigh watchers" something or other for lunch.

yes Especially when they go for 4 courses on a buffet lunch then they justify themselves when they have a 'low fat, calorie bar' with their tea in the afternoon!

I think you will find that the cereal bar will balance out the large big mac meal with coke that they had previously...... That's how weight watchers works isn't it, a little bit of good food will account for the large portion of fatty food? wink

yes Yep, they counteract each other. So for example... when I'm driving if I speed past schools I balance that out by driving at 50MPH in the Middle Lane of the Motorway.

Is how it works, innit.

silly

Not true at all.

If your average calorie intake is X, and you reduce that to say X-1000 you will lose weight, with no change to calories burnt.

Go to Africa. Very few gyms, very few fat geezers.

Did anyone else think there might be something a bit more lurid in this thread from the exciting title?

I had a similar occurance last night whilst waiting for the lift.

Standing next to, two half decent looking ladies, not sure who they are or where they work in my office, and an intresting topic of conversation sparked up in regards to an awards ceromony we are hosting tonight.

First girl turns round and says "Are you going to do a spray time tonight" second girl replies "not sure what one are you using" this then carries on all the way down the in the lift discussing the various options and shades of tan.

Not a great story but just so obscure!

Maybe they were on a diet. I can well imagine the response you'd have got if you had said something.

I compare nutritional values of similar food - because I'm interested in nutrition. What they were doing was positive. Maybe it is you that has an issue.
