don't see anything wrong in what the business minister said. at worst she was perhaps trying to start to inject some confidence in the system. i convinced things would not be as bad as they are if the media didn't have such a field day reporting doom and gloom. yes lots of people are losing jobs and yes lots of people are losing money (me included) but the overly negative sentiment that is being perpetuated is certainly not going to help. if as many people (whether they believed it or not) started talking things up as there are people talking things down, then i think it's fair to say things would improve a whole lot quicker.
and the end of the day it's all about confidence.
and as for george osborne seeking to make political gain on this - the recession is the best thing that could happen to them. if things started to improve before the next general election they would stand a much lower chance of getting in. the man is the slimiest rodent i've ever had the displeasure to have to look at. and i'm saying that as someone who's so right wing i can often be seen goose stepping down marlow high street.

If you actually listen to what she said, she says; "I can see the beginning of green shoots, but its too early to tell still". Which, when you think online sales were highest ever, and certain companies are creating thousands more jobs (though a lot more are cutting them), and with house prices actually going up a little in a lot of areas, you can see why she made that comment.
Yet the media portray it like she has flat out said "the recession is over, and there's nothing to worry about."....which is not what she said at all.
Now I am one of the biggest critics of this Labour Gov....but the grilling she is getting is just undue IMO.
