So, you're one of the less stupid scammers. You realize that people are catching on, and you need a new angle, something to add credibility.
And then it hits you. Of course! Why hadn't you seen it before? A bulletproof, cast iron method of ensuring anyone who gets your mail will implicitly trust you.
Obvious really. Claim to be Mrs Mugabe. What could be more trustworthy than that?

Not even close to believable, sorry. Now the poor bugger that's been stuck in space for the last (now)18 years is a definite cause for concern. I hope my cash is enough.

Consequently, my colleagues and I are willing to transfer the total amount to your account or subsequent disbursement, since we as civil servants are prohibited by the Code of Conduct Bureau (Civil Service Laws) from opening and/ or operating foreign accounts in our names.

I posted the following on my Facebook page a couple of weeks ago: "Mark is going to be RICH. A very nice fellow has offered me a cut of $250m US Dollars stolen form the Nigerian Treasury. All I need to do is provide my bank details, what could possibly go wrong?"
The following day I received a message from a "friend" congratulating me on my good fortune. Yes, he was actually serious
