This is probably a bizarre question but you get all sorts on here so you never know...
I was eating some sugar snap peas on Weds, when for some reason I decided to open one - and it had what I thought was a black maggot inside it, so I kept it because it looked interesting. I go to look at it yesterday and its doubled in length, and appears to be a caterpillar not a maggot! I think it must be Kenyan, because thats where the peas were from (via Morrisons!) and there was no sign of any holes in the pod where it could have got in. Today, its about an inch in length and its black with lime green stripe, and I'd love to indentify it, see if its going to turn into anything worth keeping. Has anybody else ever done this or am I a total weirdo?!

Be very careful that it's not a Mexican Loprado Caterpiller. The hairs are barbed and poisonous and they can spit at you, which if caught can carry malaria or sydinet b.

I suggest next time you're hungry that you reach for a nice, safe, Candy Bar.

Exactly the same! Apart from this one is very dark brown/almost black, with 2 lime green stripes running lengthways down it!

See if you can find a number for DEFRA or whatever they are called, they might take it off your hands before it eats you out of home and house!
