Nokia 6500 slide V Sony Ericsson C902???

I fancy one of the two above.
The Nokia seems sturdier and better built with a better lens but is a bit dated.

The more modern Sony has other better features but seems flimsier and has been reported to have a few software glitches.

Anyone had either? Anything to watch for?

C902 is perfectly fine after it's had a firmware update. It may even come pre-packaged with the new firmware now for all I know. Mine was an early one.

Great phone. Can't comment about the Nokia though.

Have got the C902, am on my second handset and this one still seems to have the odd things wrong with it. Good camera but not much else I like. Also the keys are a little awkward if you text a lot. My other half has the Nokia and has never had a problem.

I've just purchased a C902 after my K850i went belly up on me. Seems fine to me, much nicer handset indeed.

I got a C902 this week after having a Samsung and Nokia. Sony is great. Feels like a really sturdy phone where as the Nokias now seem too flimsy and plastic. Takes really good pictures as well.

I've had the 6500 slide for over a year. Its been dropped & abused but still works great. Camera is acceptable, I'd get another..

the nokia won an award on the gaget show for the best over all phone a while back or something....

Id still go for the c902... it feels like it is built well and I tihnk it was the james bond phone... so the uber coolness is htere (maybe not) plus there are loads of apps for it!!!

Indeed! Thankfully i dont text much - the keys are small, slippy and at an angle.

However the camera is brilliant! Also you can still find the torch feature if you set the camera to 'film' and preset the flash function. Very handy.

Dont worry I'm here. I currently have a C902 and my last phone was a 6500 slide.

The Nokia was excellent and despite buying 2 phones to try and replace it with something that could do more I still went straight back to it. It was very solid, the menus were a joy to use and the keypad was almost perfect in size, layout and touch. The camera was abit poor really and it didnt have many exciting gadgety features. Baisicly it looked pretty (all in black) and felt nice to use but the technology was a little dated.

The Sony Ericsson is a good looker and feels firmly built, I havnt droped it yet and dont want to either so couldnt tell you how tough it is. The C902 is all about the technology....or to be precise the camera. The camera is excellent and has a lot of features that you might only use once but are still cool to have, like being able to take several images and then the phones software can join them up into a paneramic. The keypad is ok, it looks good but can be a little weird to text with but you get used to it, still...it has never seemed as easy and flowing as the Nokia.

It really depends what you want from your phone, if you want a cracking camera go Sony, if your not bothered about phone cameras then go Nokia.
