If you watched the pre match on SKY today, they had a piece on it.. I was having a beer so not really watching in the pub.

To do with some young Lad who played in their youth team early 1900's, who's name was Pears, Like the old soap. Hence the bubbles. (his nickname)
One of the past managers asked the band to play it before the game - stood for 40 Yrs.

Nothing to do with Michael Jackson and a certain Monkey.
