Oh, come on - Oscars have been given for less.
I did like the bit where one snake was disposed of in a microwave - if you watch very closely, the power-setting captions on the microwave include "Snake"
I did like the 'snake' bit, but that was about the only bit that made me chuckle I did like the bit where one snake was disposed of in a microwave - if you watch very closely, the power-setting captions on the microwave include "Snake"

I think the film came about when a bunch of writers tried to come up with the worst film title they could think of, and then it went from there. I saw it at the cinema and thought it was hilarious because it was so bad. A bit like a Segal film, except that this was intentional.
I'm sure PH could do at least as well on the script front....how about "Snakes on a Griffith"? - plot summary: Evil Monbiots (a hegemonising swarm of brain-washing insects) attempt to take over the world by placing poisonous snakes in the footwells of every motor car with an engine capacity of 4 litres or more, on the grounds that humans most likely to resist the attempted world takeover will be driving such worthy vehicles. One plucky Griffith driver defeats the dastardly plot by throttling the 6 foot Rattlesnake and a couple dozen of Pit Vipers that emerged from the glovebox (which, obviously, on a Griffith is bound to fall open sooner or later) whilst in a mammoth 3 hour powerslide; our hero then discovers that the sound of a TVR with a rude sports-exhaust at full power causes the brains of the Evil Monbiots to turn to mush and then explode - the epic finale involving massed TVRs engaged in a monumental cross-country hoon (closing scenes of the Blues Brothers meets Ben Hur race scene meets Master and Commander motivational speech scenes) to destroy the filthy Monbiot base, concealed in a smug lentil-fondling corner of London.Come on...you'd pay money to see that, wouldn't you?

t. It was never meant to compete with the Godfather now was it."Get these motherf

it was like smoking a large amount of herb before watching Blair Witch Project - to help with the paranoia and mask the crapness of that film
