Chaps,

Can anyone remember the name of the spelling programme where there was this kind of hovering head puppet thing in the 70's/early 80's?

Ahh you're quite right.

Theres one episode that sticks in my mind from either Look and Read or You & Me that featured platform shoes called Blockaboots.

There was a song.

It went

Blockaboots, Blockaboots, Block, Block, Blockaboots, they're in fashion todaaaaaaaaay.

I remember the oddest things.

I remember Look & Read...

Magic, magic E!

Round, up, down and FLICK - I remember being a little ankle biter and really exaggerating the flicks at the end of d's etc. I remember one that went across an entire double spread in my book which I got in trouble for.

Anyone remember Geordie Racer from the 80's? We watched that in school too. With his pigeon, Blue Flash IIRC. biggrin

Anyone watch the programme which followed Look & Read ?
About a kid from space who was stuck on Earth with a wierd looking bloke chasing him (called the Thin Man iirc). For some reason he used to freak me out, even in daytime.
In defence I was very young at the time !

I was actually in one of the programmes and chanted that saying! Along with making words ending in -LY from the BBC B Computer programme that generated them.
My word was 'Badly' so I had to sing badly.

Oh and that floating head thing was actually just a person in blue tights next to a blue screen - sorry if that's wrecked things for anyone here

If anyone wants an autograph of anything, just PM me bowtie
