kING SCARY!Once and only once when I woke up in bed alone. I'd overslept but it was a weekend and I'd not been wakened. It was only about four years ago.
I could sense everything around me and hear voices elsewhere in the house but couldn't move a muscle. It was a strange sensation and for some reason I didn't panic even though the first thing I thought was that I'd had a massive stroke during the night and was totally paralysed. I could feel the weight of the duvet around me and could move my eyes but not my head. It lasted for quite a few minutes, maybe three or four, and was strangely relaxing. Eventually I just sort of stretched my legs and everything started working again.

The first time i had it it felt like spiders were crawling over me.
(I hate spiders).
When i got "feeling back" i jumped for the light switch.
Obviously there was nothing there!
Last night i woke up & thought there was someone in the room with me, but i could'nt move & my breathing became shortened!

Same demon ran around my room on the walls like a rider on a wall of death. Then it started running over my chest. Then it sat on me, while I'm wide awake and hyperventilating and completely unable to move.
That's why I married a fat lass.... if it ever happens again, I know it can't possibly be her.

Nope never had it in my life however I would like to experience it just to see how it feels, Think it would be quite fun but freaky deaky at the same time.
Here's a film recommendation for youHad it just the once, was scary until I realised that I wasn't quite awake and body/motor skills were still asleep eventually they woke up though.
Also once I really badly hurt my arm when I woke up lying on my side and it had gone dead, I got out of bed to go for a piss and let it wake up but as I turned round the limp arm swung out and hit the door (no pain though). Only realised how bad it was when I woke-up in agony the next morning.

Get it fairly regularly (every couple of weeks or so) . Can confirm it frequently is accompanied by a feeling of total terror. Been plagued by it since I was a child - the fear thing I have under control and I no longer wake myself up by the sound of my own screams......
