Recommend me smart winter shoes
Discussion
After years of driving to and from work I've got fed up with wacky races at rush hour and started getting the bus instead.
The usual suit shoes just arent cutting it and I'm going to end up eating concrete very soon. I'm half tempted to just buy a pair of Doc Martins but think I need something a bit smarter for the office.
Can anyone recommend boots or shoes that are grippy enough in the frost/ice, keep my feet dry, and still looks smart enough to wear with a suit? Pistonheads: Fashion matters

I bought some rockport shoes. They look like normal shoes, but are 100% waterproof and grip well. They are invaluable for walking to work in London where every 2nd paving slab seems to be somehow floating on 2ft of water. About £80 from John Lewis.

ECCO give usually pretty good grip in inclement weather. Not as good as used to be since the Scandiwegians offshored production but even so.
I have a pair of what appear to be normal black Ecco shoes which get far better grip than what I'm wearing today which is a pair of Berghaus winter boots with chunky tread. Just the depth of snow is not conducive to dry feet when wearing normal shoes.

Something like those would be perfect, but can I find anywhere that sells them??? All my local Rockport stockists only seem to have their hiking boots.Had a quick look online and it's the same.
No John Lewis in Northern Ireland either unfortunately.
Thanks for the recommendations
