Wiring up LED's?

Probably very simple but how do I wire up approx 30 8mm led's, Just the plain white and I don't need them to flash.

Depends what kind they are, if they are the boggo standard ones then they are gonna need appropriate resistors. What's it for? School project?

It's for a fairly large racing circuit model, I'm planning to make floodlights and lighting in the pit buildings.

They come in 3v and 12v, the 12v ones have resistors in, the 3v ones need a resistor added inline.

remember to connect them in parallel (ie one live feed goes to all, and they all use the same negative)

They have an Anode pin which goes to +ve and Cathode pin which goes to -ve, make sure they are the correct way round otherwise they will not light up. One of the pins is thicker near where it enters the led body, I think this is the cathode, but check to be sure.

What wire is best to use? If I want to do 30 - 50 led's what stops them getting dimmer the more I add?

The current capability of your power supply, each LED uses a certain amount of current, when all added together the total should be less than your power supply can give otherwise you will not get full brightness.
