Is the pain in your spine or muscles, you may need to just strengthen your lower back muscles.
In the muscles either side of my spine, well it's mainly the right side.I have been a serial "smash myself up person" 1st broken bone at 4yrs, then lots of cycling and motor cycle racing accidents later, 25ish broken bones, punctured lungs, ruptured kidneys, and dislocations too, my joints/muscles were steadily getting worse and i had condemned myself to a world of discomfort due to being a reckless tw@t. Then... i went to see a chiropractor because the pains in my shoulder were getting unbearable, what a revelation. I do exercise at least 4 times a week, gym classes, squash and still a bit of Moto X if i can find time. Get yourself booked in you wont look back.

Try a low impact warm up such as cycling. I go the gym 5 times a week and never get any back problems if I warm up on the bike or x-trainer. I played squash today and my back was aching within minutes.
I stopped going to the gym a long time ago, because of my back pain,it's been on and off for a few years, flares up every time i try and excercise, even though i stopped going to the gym,i excercise at home now.Cycling is no problem like to get on the bike whenever i can during the summer.

I think you need a new hobby, not a Chiro!
