Train Ride Around Europe
Discussion
Morning all,
Me and a couple of mates are thinking about travelling around Europe via train in the summer. We only have 2 weeks to do this due to work commitments.
Which towns / cities would you recommend as a must see? Also, has anyone done this type of thing before and could you advise on methods of going about doing such a thing.
Thanks,
DY

I went interailing several years on the trot. I think the age limit was 26, but there might be an adult version?
Virtually unlimited travel anywhere in Europe. We had a ball.
Places to stop?
On your way down to Barcelona, stop in a tiny village called port Bou, which is just over the French/spanish border. Hit Madrid on the way back up. Monaco is a must. Genoa surprised me. A run down to Athens presents many opportunities for fun on the way. Hamburg was fun
If you are with friends, you can't go wrong.

When you say 'Bern', I guess you're off into the mountains rather than spending 3 days in the city ?
ETA:
The region around Bern is nice in the summer

Interlaken is where the tourists tend to base themselves.
Plenty of scenic mountain railways in Switzerland as well.
