wedding ideas - little touches etc etc
Discussion
hello all,
as per a couple of other threads I'm getting married this jun.
Now through my life I've had verying ideas of fun things to do at wedding (venue etc is already booked - country house type thing).
Now the wedding is looming but my mind has gone blank on most of the things I previously thought of! so..
calling on the ph massive, any fun little touches you have seen or done at weddings? Be as random as you like but if you can keep to topic as much as poss then I'd appreciate it!
cheers all!

Before our wedding, we sent everyone we'd invited a blank CD with a pre-paid envelope. On the CD, we'd printed the wedding details, and a note asking them to burn their digital photo's to the disk and stick it back in the post to us afterwards.
We got about 95% of them back, and had some excellent pictures that we wouldnt normally have seen.
We figured most people have a digital camera now, and for the cost of CD's and stamps it was well worth it.

The usual way is to let the bride do all the arranging. When she shows you what she wants, you say in a resigned manner 'Whatever'.
Then all you have to do is turn up on the day looking smart, say 'I will' and then drink beer.
And that's not so far from the truth!

Might not be a good idea on reflection. If you do go ahead then...
Disposable cameras on the tables is worthwhile
I went to one that did the 'dry ice' over pudding thing that Heston did at Little Chef this week. Might be a bit naff no, but it was very original back then
Gifts at each place setting it quite nice, I've seen picture holders, seeds, all sorts really - could make something fun there
How far from Church to Reception? might want to think about buses so that people don't have to worry about cars so much
You can get guest books with inserts for Polaroid photos. We tasked a couple of ushers to go round and fill them up. Much better than some crappy disposable camera photos, I still look back through it quite often. You can get them here:

They sell the cameras and film too.

Disposable camera's left lying around for people to use and you to collect at the end of the evening.
10000000 pictures of peoples cocks await you!Nobody but the bride, the parents and grandparents give a toss about the wedding.
Just make sure the best man is a f
king legend, the food is hot, the beer is cold, and the day will be a winner.
PS I let my wife sort everything, I too just turned up and said 'I will' it's the only way to be safe.
PPS I didn't get sex on my wedding night either, I spent nearly one hour removing hair grips instead, but my god did she not get it hard on our honeymoon.
Sorry, digressed slightly there...

Our wedding day was split into two... at the ceremony and wedding breakfast we had 40 people and then in the evening we had about 200.
At the daytime event my parents purchased a bowl that everyone signed, it was then put in a kiln and baked and is currently on our sideboard at home...

In the grand scheme of things our wedding wasn't expensive and we had a great day. Well worth seeing if you can get the copyright to the pictures and get them printed in a book like this -
Our wedding album is here -

Came in at about £60 for the album including being delivered from America. When we went to order one for my parents they did us a deal on 2nd order - buy one, get one free.

In the spirit of PH, we used
http://www.groomvroom.co.uk/
The guests all LOVED their passenger rides.
The people in the village (where chapel is) all remember our wedding that’s for sure
I'm not associated with groom vroom, just a recommendation.
