Right then following on from the extremely cool picture of the Vulcan at East Midlands Airport... Thought I would start a thread to post cool pics from around the world found through Google Maps or Earth.

Post anything cool/fun/interesting/amazing.

I also have a challenge though.... Winner is the first person to find "The Ekranoplan"

I'm not very good but I'll start it with a poor "petrolhead" one.

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&a...

I was also trying to find that Military plane storage area in the desert in America but no luck.

Post away people.

Cool, we have a winner!

With regards to Area 51 - is it the real Area 51 or a decoy added to Google Maps.

No that's the real one, it only recently got linked on Google Maps, you used to have to search for it the hard way. Easy if you findout the lat/long though smile

Anyone know what this is? Large buildings in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by what looks like a now-levelled town.

That level was probably one of the best imho, and also so very eerie... A superb example of level design done right. Mind you, that goes for most of the rest of the game too I guess. The cargo ship was fantastic - I mean you're not DOING anything for the second half of that mission except running, yet still the tension levels are SO high!
