What would you have done? (Unwittingly committed crime)

So today was accompanying other half in clothe shopping at a large budget national clothing retailer, she decided on 4 tops and some hair clip thingies (eventually); proceeded to the checkout to pay.
Got to the till and were chatting to one another whilst the guy scanned it, at this point the guy suddenly looks at us completely expresionless and says "Ive only scanned one" pointing to the tops and then asks her to put her card into the chip & pin- totally normal and expresionless.
I assumed was a joke & he had a weird sense of humour so just laughed that polite laugh where you think saddo, Instinctively looked at the price on the till which said ~6 quid, as these budget womens clothing stores are so cheap and not knowing much assumed that was price for all. Then walking away and towards the door other half is looking at the reciept and relises he actually only charged for one, I asked why she didnt notice at the till and its the usual oh I didnt check (annoyingly ditzy at times!!).
So at this point I'm thinking
a) should I go back and insist he charges the others
b) should I speak to his manager
c) Are we going to be on hidden cam TV show next week!!
d) Are we going to be arrested when leaving!
Stress over this for a minute then think forget it as only a few quid and potentially lot of fuss, so leave. But on hindsight thinking should have done done a) ie got him to charge more, b) is the correct answer on paper off course but don't want the hassle (factoring in large national as opposed to independent retailer)

Isn't it only theft if you don't offer to pay? So far as you're concerned he's the store's representative, and if they decide to give you a discount then you're not breaking any law. I've had vaguely similar things when buying lots of car bits, sometimes the odd bolt or so will be gratis and not go on the bill they provide but it's their decision.
was in pharmacy today, lockets and the tube u stuff up nose, offered points card, but not enough cash, should be about £2.50, got charged for 2 packets of lockets....
Would sooner have been in bed, but on the way back from maidstone area hotel for a few days, 3 am this morning, up with the sniffles and snorting stuff down the throat, almost blocked the bog with the paper snot rags...

I was serious. She'll remember him either doing her a favour or being dopey to her advantage, thus might be inclined to shop there again, therefore he gets to see her again.
