First date ideas
Discussion
I know i'm going to regret asking on here but here goes:
I'm taking a young lady out next weekend and i need some ideas of where to take her, ideally somewhere around the Manchester area.
Ideally it needs to be something fun with plenty of scope for making a good impression, my first idea was the oxo tower but she poo poo'd that idea, my other idea was a Theme park or the Zoo but these all seem to be closed until March.
Looking for a day time date which will hopefully continue into the evening etc.
Anyone got any ideas?

Here's a trick I like to use. While walking to the date venue, ensure the route passes a pharmacy, and tell her you just need to pop in for something quickly. Go straight to the condom section and grab an 18 pack of ribbed and some lubricant. Then go to the counter and loudly ask if they have any rohypnol - they will say no, so ask for any similar tranquilising, amnesia-inducing pills. They will say no again, so act disappointed and joking tell her you hope she's in the mood for drinking.
This sets your stall out early, letting her know that you're keen, so you both know where you stand.

I always used to take potential girlfriends to the pool. Its good fun, especially if its got a wave machine and water shoot...
....also you get a fair idea of exactly what you are investing in: No wonderbras, no make up, and as near as dammit naked!

The Lowry isn't bad, although it's a bit out of the way. One thing you could try is to get into the bar at the Hilton. You have to book for the busy times, but it opens at 5 on Sat IIRC so you could try and get in there for a couple of drinks before you go out to eat. Quite a few decent little places off Deansgate/Cross St

...however that was when I was about 17.
