I'm trying for find somewhere to celebrate my Dad's 70th birthday, without about 100 or so of his mates. We've had a look around at the normal hotels etc, but everything is soulless. Does anybody know of anywhere that would be suitable, that has a little bit of character? He lives in Harrow, but lots of his friends are based around West London.

Cheers

The pump room at Kew/chiswick - its a steam engine pump affair

Syon House ?

Richmond Hill Hotel

City Barge pub (on the river) Kew

The Lensbury Club in Teddington by the lock

er - might think of some others in time

Its my pa's 70th in may - we are looking at Chatham Royal Dockyard - hiring a room on one of the boats ?

Ooh - what about Twickenham Rugby Ground ? I know they have a number of function rooms

It does look very good, but it's out of our price range I'm afraid frown

Richmond Hill Hotel looks like it might be quite good.
