I have been known to rip the corner off a piece of paper and eat it. I am not suggesting that this is a substitute for food or a meal of any form, but I quite like the taste of paper. I'm sure it cannot be that good for you to eat any quantity of paper. I recently found a colleague of mine eating paper in the same fashion. Is this common? Anyone else eat paper from time to time?

A tip for anyone wanting to start eating paper (and I'm not suggesting anyone does) - stay clear of parking tickets. They are the single most disgusting things to have ever been produced, I guess it is the ink they use or something!

Oookay, eating paper is good for you vocabulary or so I'm told.

Not sure the bleach will be that good for you.

Vegetarians insist on eating lettuce, which is basically wet paper, so what's the difference?

Eating disorder? Simply shred and take twice daily for a week.

If symptoms persist I suggest Doctors notes would go down well?

Some kids sweetie lolly things (think drumsticks etc) come with a stick made of sort of compressed paper. After finishing the lolly you can unravel the layers of paper with your teeth and eat the stick. Sometimes enjoy that more than the lolly itself. getmecoat

Just getting your daily intake of clay minerals (Kaolinite). Nothing wrong with that, it's also a food additive! Guess you're addicted biggrin

I usually tear off a small piece off the corner of a newspaper sometimes when reading an article.

I dont think it is strange. Sometimes I do the same thing, or atleast I used to when I was in high school, college etc. Sure beats eating paint chips hehe

I would tear the paper off, and eat the left over shreds. But not swallow, more like get it into a ball and chew on it.
