Coming from S
horpe and working close to the works there are a lot of problems arising.
You get people who are on 20k basic but then get shift enhancement + production bonus to make their wages 35-40k who go mental when they get told they will have to live on their basic 20k salary for a while.
The unions have a stranglehold and appear to reject a lot of reductions that are suggested but those reductions would have kept jobs.
Everyone resents the double dippers who took massive payouts and pensions when British Steel was taken over only to start back at work for Corus a week later. They will then get another payout when Corus makes them redundant.
Happy days.
