Living with Work Colleague?

Bit of background: I'm a student - study at Uni in Cheltenham but currently live in the middle of Birmingham, travelling to Chelt 2 days a week (100 mile round trip). I work in Lichfield (50 mile round trip from Birmingham) 3 times a week and stay at my parents house (in Lichfield) once a week to save 50 miles of fuel. At the end of June my tenancy agreement runs out and I'm moving out - I'm suffering from depression and finding living with people I don't know very well & who I can't talk to about stuff is not helping things! The work colleague in question has been really supportive over the past few months and we get on really well both in work and outside of work too.

I have two options, as I see it:
a) Move back in with Parents - just pay for my food.
b) Move in with a work colleague in/near Lichfield - approx £250 pcm + bills/food

What would you do?

Work colleague. Now that you have lived away from home, going back for anything more than a visit will be unimaginably bad, believe me!

There's nothing better for relieving depression than saving money. A healthy bank balance puts a smile on anyone's face.

After a few months when you've had quite enough? THEN go rent...

Can't say I agree with that.

Depression caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain takes little note of anything - including how much money you have in the bank...

Under the current circumstances whatever allows you to hoard the most cash. If you move back home & it becomes to claustrophobic you can always move out....
