Hopefully not a repost, nothing came up on search anyway...

Remember last year when Top Gear took on the Germans?

Here's the German show with English subtitles for anyone bored on a Monday morning.

Pleasantly surprised by that, I was convinced the Porsche would have won the last race in the German edition.

Cheers for that, just used up an hour of my night! Good though, i think the Germans are shown with more humour in their version.

James did a good job overtaking that ex-DTM driver!

I watched the English one again last night on the TG best of repeat thingy, have to say Hammonds "bad winner" routine just had me in fits all over again.

Love all the quotes from "Battle of Britain".

Not forgetting all the music played was written by Ron Goodwin.

Would you seriously look at her in the same light if she couldn't drive a bit....?

She's not usually my cup of tea, but there's the bit when she jumps out of the Mini to go for the deck chair and her arse in those racing overalls! Lovely!

Watched this a while back and enjoyed it. Was glad to see the Germans got their own jokes about the war in- that Carsten bloke saying that he felt like he was at Arnhem in the little tank! Also interesting to see Sabines opinion of the 9ff...

It was great fun . Thanks for the link.

One thing which sailed over the German's heads was the brief clip of May dropping earth out of the leg of his trousers in an obvious - to us - allusion to countless POW war films and escape tunnels. The commentary saw it as an attempt to drop 'little rocks' onto the track to put the Germans off.
