You're ill: Eat healthily or save the planet?
Discussion
Meat-free menus are to be promoted in hospitals as part of a strategy to cut global warming emissions across the National Health Service.

Maybe money would be better spent on high quality balanced meals for people fighting illness rather than saving the planet from more socialist mumbo-jumbo.

Dr David Pencheon, director of the NHS sustainable development unit, said the amount of NHS emissions meant it had to act to make cuts, and the changes would save money, which could be spent on better services for patients.

without wishing to get into the meat vs veg debate --- if you've ever seen any "meat" served in a hospital then you wouldn't miss it
Hospital food isn't that bad especially considering it's free. I'm screwed, really. In a rough pub, if some bruiser asks, while raising a fist, "Do you like hospital food?", my instant reply would be, "It's not bad, actually..."
That said, just because it's vegetarian it doesn't mean it's healthier.

I saw a profile on Match the other day - some hand wringing eco type who said don't get in touch if you drive a 4x4.....and her recent travels included NZ, The Great Wall of China, Nepal, Puru and Canada. I think you missed out on joined up thinking, love.
You should buy an old subaru justy and go out with her, take her to a nice vegetarian restaurant, pretend you believe everything she says, (organic) wine and (GM free) dine her.
Then once you're smashing her pasty shout out "Hahahahaha the Subaru's a 4x4!!!!!"
