Plans for NHS meals to be meat free

OK it is the Daily Wail, but I thought it was worth flagging up. Adequate protein intake is needed for good healing, so this proposal isn't going to be very helpful to sick people.

The plans are not to ban or stop meat, but to reduce the amount that they use. A very different thing from the wail's take on it.

Utter garbage reporting as ever from the doyen of complete ar*e that is the daily mail.

Do the words "Plan to offer" not mean anything in their reporting? Clearly not!

That paper needs to think long and hard about how many people they put in hospital in the first place due to increased blood pressure!

Having eaten hospital food several times in my life, I seriously doubt that they'd be cutting much protein out of patients diets by removing all of the "meat"...

Having eaten hospital food several times over the past few years. I have never once had reason to complain. Sunday Roast is always the best.

It is not quite the smoked salmon and steak of private hospitals, but it is good.
