Yesterday I got shot through the right foot by one of those air fed nail guns.
The 50mm x 2mm brad entered in just behind the toe cap and traveled through the big toe and being slightly deflected by the bone and into the sole. The joiners dropped the gun while talking to me and in his trying to grab it, it went off when it hit my boot with him gripping the trigger.

To say it smarted a bit when the consultant pulled it out, is somewhat of a understatement.

Well I suppose the 10 year old Laphroaig will go some way to anaethatise the pain.

Ouch.

Hope it is fixable. And hope your mate was somewhat apologetic....

It funny but everyone I've told ends up laughing. And it's throbbing like good'un now.(the toe that is)

The OP was beside himself and very apologetic, hence the whisky.

Not once have I thought of a claim, not the type.

Pah.... hardly an injury that !

I remember seeing on TV the carpenter who put his circ saw on the floor and the guard hadn't closed...

It ran (cutting as it went) up his leg and embedded itself in his groin. yikes

Now thats what you call an injury !

What a nice story to hear, with such perfect timing....

The other window I have open is for researching the cheapest price for a couple of Paslode IM350 bloody nail guns. laugh

Might search for some Kevlar boots as well now...
