American films nicking other countries' history!
Discussion
I know we have discussed this a lot, but I saw the most blatant, re-writing of history yet and almost choked on my digestive biscuit.
"Wonder Woman - The Feminum Mystique" - is a witty, critically acclaimed film in the 'Arthouse' style that deals with saving the first jet fighter, the American XPJ-1, from the clutches of evil Nazis, by using a golden lassoo and a perfectly-filled, spangled, swimsuit.
This is a still of the XPJ-1:

As a PHers, I am sure you will agree that the fictional XPJ-1, "the world's first jet fighter", looks remarkably like a well known BRITISH aircraft, the Gloster Meteor!
I am shocked and appalled by this blatant re-writting of history!
Wonder Woman, be ashamed!

Americans, NO!

It's understandable, Yanks can make Spitfires fly like jets! It's because they were brought up on crop-dusters. They know planes.Wing Commander Chappie: Some people frown on the Yanks for not being in this war. ked, infact I am suprised it took America so long to come in, they lost alot of people and boats to U boats, before coming in. I just tire of seeing video clips/cartoons/films of America winning the war from the British or Russian sides, as if Britain were only there to help, whilst America kicked down the doors of Germany etc. I am fully aware that America was in the war, and ended the war, but not single handedly. As for people frowning upon America not being in the war, they should be beaten with a shovel and told to do there history, and realise without America most of us would be speaking German.
So dont call me a
, because you assumed I didnt know about the war and Americas part, I appreciate Americas part in the war, and the Americans in the war on the European fronts pits said:

Erm...
My post was regarding that it was highly unlikely that the character would have said something so jingoistically 'Go America' before they had entered the war, and more specifically the hackneyed cliche ridden way the scene was constructed.
Michael Bay was the director of said travesty, and target for my ire.
Which only leaves the question: What the f
k are you on about?

And yet still we wonder why Team America fared so badly in its home country....My post was regarding that it was highly unlikely that the character would have said something so jingoistically 'Go America' before they had entered the war, and more specifically the hackneyed cliche ridden way the scene was constructed.

t loads out of us through the lease lend agreement, Churchill is even quoted as saying thank god when he heard about Pearl Habour as he knew the Americans would enter the war.We only finished paying off the leas lend agreement a couple of years ago.
